Landscaping garden on a slope is always a challenge especially when access is very limited.
That’s one of the examples of how such space can be organized and made useable.
During such project it’s particularly important to plan ahead and to complete stages of the work in the right order.
Concept for the garden was to create individual, clearly divided areas of patio, lawns, planting and incorporate a small vegetable plot.
Series of retaining walls allowed to minimize the slope and make those areas usable.
All done with natural materials such as timber sleepers, sandstone paving, and cobbles.
A custom made BBQ that corresponds with gabion retainer has been added as a functional feature.
One year on and the planting is establishing very well, lawns look healthy and lush and we could even see crops from the vegetable patch.
